Wedding Photography Series
The end of the year is upon us, and wow has it gone by quickly! We met so many people this year, photographed many weddings, and captured many memorable moments!
As people often do, we were thinking of looking back on this year, and showcasing some highlights of this past wedding season. Yet, just like we all love to look back on good times, the end of the year is a time to look forward into the future as well. Incidentally, this time of year is the time where many get engaged, or are well into their wedding planning and are ready to find a photographer.
Over the next couple of weeks, we have planned to share a series, which will give people a better idea of what to expect from their photographer on their wedding day. There will also be some advice and tips of what you can to make the experience run seamlessly – making the results very magical!
Wedding Photography-Groom gets ready
In our first article, (to appear next Thursday!), we’ll be showing the groom how we would shoot him getting ready with all of his best friends. Some portrait are also included in the morning, so that his bride can remember how handsome he looked that day!

Then of course we will be showcasing how we photograph the bride and her bridesmaids in the morning. In both the case of the groom and the bride, the photographer remains unobtrusive and captures all the candid moments. There’s a lot of fun to be had in the morning and it really shines through.
The bride gets a portrait session as well, however it’s a bit more elaborate and fashionable. The intention is really to show her at her best and create wonderful images that would be suited for a magazine cover. We’re sharing a whole article about this, with some tips for the brides, so that everything runs as smoothly as possible!
Wedding Photography-Seeing each other before the ceremony?
A special article is prepared for the fourth week of the series! Many people don’t realize that you can have a special moment to see each before the ceremony – which is called a first look! We’ll be sharing the pros and cons about this newer tradition, so that you can decide for yourself if it’s something you’d like to include in your wedding day.
Whether you have a first look or not, there’s plenty of time in the day to share some moments alone, and let the photographer capture you and your partner in a romantic setting. This is what most couples look forward to the most!

Our sixth article will explain how you can plan ahead and be organized with your formal portraits, which would mainly include family members and your bridal party. These aren’t as creative as some other photographs, but they’re essential in remembering the special people in your lives!

Finally, we’ll conclude our first major blog series with an article about the reception and the party. There are many fun opportunities for the photographer to capture emotional moments, such as the first dance, as well as all your guest having the time of their lives.
