What influenced you to become a wedding photographer?
Weddings are the epitome of love! I am fascinated by people and I love making people look like movie stars. Weddings are filled with love, joy and emotions – and those feelings deserve to stay alive forever.
How would you describe your style?
I would describe my style as an elegant blend of documentary, lifestyle and fashion photography
What is your inspiration?
I take inspiration from the magic of the moment and the human sprit, I search for true emotions : un-posed, unexpected and dynamic images that create unique and personal stories.
Besides weddings do you also photograph fashion?
Yes! I love fashion photography! Recently my work was features at the Vermont Art Gallery in a fashion photography exhibition. I take a lot of inspiration from the fashion world into the wedding day. I want my couples to look and feel like models and movie stars.
What advice would you give couples that are not used to being in front of the camera.
Most brides and grooms don’t know how to pose professionally and this is where the skill of a photographer comes in. The secret to good posing is not to pose. I have some tricks on how to make people look natural and at ease.
What do you look for in a wedding day
Every wedding is a new discovery. I concentrate on the personalities, the chemistry between people and the ambiance of the day. First I look for the expressions and then the lighting and composition. There should be an artistic element in every image.
What do you do in post production?
I do enhance pictures a bit in post production : I love elements with a vintage, nostalgic and Hollywood feel and of course fashion portraits of the bride so she looks like the cover of Elegant Wedding Magazine!
